| In mid-1997 I stopped writing poems on scraps of filepaper and bought a notebook instead. The poems presented here are selected from the three years (three and a half notebooks) up until mid-2000, although in reality almost all are from the last year of this period. I'm not certain whether this is because writing gets better with practice, or because it gets worse with the lengthening of hindsight. |
